Bob Flaws OMD     Phasing Treatment for Best Results

Bob Flaws L.Ac. was born in 1946 and grew up in Rutherford, NJ. From the age of 14, Bob had four main areas of academic interest: writing/reading, philosophy, language/languages, and biology. He attended Newark Academy in Newark, NJ and then Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT where he earned a B.S. degree in American Literature in 1968. In 1969, he went to India and Nepal and became a Buddhist yogi. He wanted to become a Tibetan doctor but, without a clear path to that end, he chose to study Chinese medicine, its closet kin. Initially, Bob studied with Dr. Eric Tao (Xi-yu) and began his private practice in 1979 in Boulder, CO practicing massage therapy and acupuncture. After several trips to China to study at the Shanghai College of TCM, Bob later went on to publish several books and eventually develop Blue Poppy Enterprises, Inc. Dr. Flaws specialty in practice is gynecology and pediatrics on which subjects he has lectured and published extensively.

Ilene Hatch MD   Western Approach to Infertility Evaluation and Treatment

Dr. Hatch graduated from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1989.  Thereafter, she spent her internship at the University of California, Irvine in the OB/GYN department followed by her residency also at the University of California, Irvine in the same department.  She then went on to a fellowship at the University of Southern California School of Medicine in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.  Dr. Hatch is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and a Fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.  Since 1995, Dr. Hatch has held an academic appointment as a clinical professor at the University of Southern California School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She currently maintains a private practice as a Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist at the Fertility Center of Southern California located in Irvine.

Master Hui Liu is both a renown artist and qigong master.  She has been studying Dayan Qigong since 1982 and has been a direct student of late grandmaster Yang Mei Jun of China.  Master Hui Liu was awarded “Qigong Master” of the year at the World Congress on Qigong in San Francisco in 2004.  She has her own television shows in Taiwan teaching Dayan Qigong and received numerous awards in the profession of art as well as in the field of martial arts.

Dr. Shima is an expert practitioner of Japanese acupuncture and Kanpo herbal formula prescription. He maintains a thriving practice in Northern California and remains active in the lecture circuit year round.  Dr Shima is a dynamic and knowledgeable speaker. He is the author of several books focusing on Oriental Medicine and is the President of the Japanese American Acupuncture Foundation (JAAF).  Dr. Shima’s practice is in Corte Madera, CA at the Institute of Traditional Acupuncture and Herbology, Inc.

Sam Liang OMD   Etiology, Differentiation, and Treatment of Infertility  According to Traditional Chinese Medicine

After passing the Medical Board Certification in Taipei, Taiwan, Dr. Liang spent an additional 4 yrs as an apprentice in Dr. Sun’s Chinese Medical Clinic located in Tainan, Taiwan.  He specializes in the differentiation of TCM patterns of illness, diagnosis, herbal prescription, and acupuncture techniques with an emphasis on Master Tong’s Acupuncture points and methodology. Dr. Liang is currently in private practice at the Golden Needle Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Clinic in Lake Forest, California.

Qing-Fu Hu OMD   Integrative Approach for Infertility

Qing-Fu Hu received his O.M.D. from the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1975, and finished his postgraduate training in Western medicine from the Shanghai Medical University in 1982. In 1988, as a postdoctoral fellow, he spent three years at the University of Kentucky Medical Center to conduct a research project associated with microcirculation. He has had 25 years clinical experience and 20 years teaching experience. Currently he is the Chief Medical Officer at Sun Ten Labs., and a private practitioner at the Nature Healing Center which is located at Newport Beach.
